REGULAR SEASON

Thursday, September 8 NEW ORLEANS SAINTS 7:30 pm NBC W 42-34
Very good win against a top opponent.  Offense  is very explosive,  Rodgers and receivers excellent, Starks at running back looks good.  Defense needs to hold down the offense better.  Overall, great win to start defense of NFL Title (super bowl XV).
Sunday, September 18 at Carolina Panthers 12:00 pm FOX W 30-23
Sluggish game in the first half for the offense which picked up much better.  Defense definitely needs work, giving up too many yards, but in the second half make several good defensive stops in the red zone.  Defense needs to clamp down on yardage given up.  It is a win and a close game.  Also, Nick Collins is out for the season with a neck injury.
Sunday, September 25 at Chicago Bears 3:15 pm FOX W 27-17
Another tough game, the Packers once again showed toughness and got the win.  Ryan Grant  looked really good.
Sunday, October 2 DENVER BRONCOS 3:15 pm CBS W 49-23
Great day for Aaron Rodgers:  408 yds passing, 4 TD passes and 2 rushing TD's, the first time in NFL history that this has been done by an NFL QB.  Great game for Rodgers in leading the Packers to another victory.
Sunday, October 9 at Atlanta Falcons 7:20 pm NBC W 25-14
Good com back win.  Defense stepped up the last 3 quarters and once again Aaron Rodgers came through with a comeback win.
Sunday, October 16 Text Box:

Text Box:

ST. LOUIS RAMS 12:00 pm FOX W 24-3
Defense looked much better, giving up only 3 points.  Offense looked good in first half but second half not so explosive.  Need to put both halves together.
Sunday, October 23 at Minnesota Vikings 3:15 pm FOX W 33-27
Aaron Rodgers does it again, 335 yds passing, 3TD's, NO INTS.  Defense stepped up, with Woodson's 2 INT'S,  Starks looked good running the ball.  Enjoy the bye week and see you for the chargers game on Nov. 6.
Sunday, October 30   Open Date
Sunday, November 6 at San Diego Chargers 3:15 pm FOX W 45-38
Offense still looks great, defense still needs lots of work, giving up too many points and yards.  Although, defense was opportunistic with 3 INT's, 2 for TD's.
Monday, November 14 MINNESOTA VIKINGS 7:30 pm ESPN W 45-7
Great game. all facets, offense, defense and special teams came together.
Sunday, November 20 TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS *12:00 pm FOX W 35-26
Defense still needs work, giving up to many yards.
Thursday, November 24 at Detroit Lions 11:30 am FOX W 27-15
Defense very opportunistic with turnovers to help win game.
Sunday, December 4 at New York Giants * 3:15 pm FOX W 38-35
Good tough win, showed how Packers can grind out a hard game on the road.
Sunday, December 11 OAKLAND RAIDERS * 3:15 pm CBS W 46-16
Total domination of the raiders, team win on all phases of the game.
Sunday, December 18 at Kansas City Chiefs * 12:00 pm FOX L 14-19
Tough game, but know we can concentrate on getting healthy and ready for the playoff run to the championship.  No talk of an undefeated season, the pressure is now off.
Sunday, December 25 CHICAGO BEARS  7:20 pm NBC W 35-21
Great win, the patch work offensive line did excellent, protection and no penalties.  Also, with this win our Packers are the Number One Seed for the playoffs.
Sunday, January 1 DETROIT LIONS * 12:00 pm FOX W 45-41

Great win for Matt Flynn, 6 TD passes a franchise record, he is the star of the game.  The defense has to play a lot better in the playoffs to shut down the offense of the opposing teams.  The playoffs:  GO PACK GO!!!!!!!!!!

This is the NFL's smallest -- and coldest -- market. Yet Green Bay fans keep packing the house. They've occupied 98.9 percent of the seats at all home games during the 10-year period. And they've dialed their loyalty even higher since 2003, hitting 100 percent the past three seasons.

The following is the explanation on how this was accomplished:

NFL Fan Loyalty: Methodology

bizjournals - September 4, 2006

by G. Scott Thomas

Bizjournals has rated the level of fan loyalty for all 32 National Football League teams, based on seven statistical indicators over a 10-year period. Here are the details:

Goal: The study’s objective is to identify the NFL’s best fans. Not the ones who turn out in strong numbers for a winning team, but the ones who stay loyal even if their team is losing, the weather is frightful or their local market is small.

Period: The study covers the 10 seasons from 1996 through 2005. Twenty-eight of the NFL’s 32 teams played in the same market throughout the 10-year period. The exceptions are Tennessee (which began play in 1997), Cleveland (1999), Houston (2002) and New Orleans (which spent the 2005 season on the road in the wake of Hurricane Katrina). Statistics for the first three teams cover all seasons that they played during the decade. Attendance figures for New Orleans are limited to 1996-2004.

Source: Attendance figures have been tabulated annually by Bizjournals and cross-checked against totals reported by other media outlets. (The NFL does not release team-by-team attendance figures.) Winning percentages are based on NFL standings. Population and income statistics are from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. Temperatures are from the National Weather Service and Weatherbase.com.

Support factors: Sixty percent of each team’s score is based on three support factors. A team with high average attendance, high percent of capacity and low attendance fluctuation will do best on this side of the formula. Here’s an explanation of these three support factors:

1. Average attendance -- Average crowd at regular-season home games, 1996-2005.

2. Percent of capacity -- Percentage of all available seats that were occupied at home games, 1996-2005.

3. Attendance fluctuation -- Difference (in percentage points) between the best and worst annual percentages of occupied seats, 1996-2005.

Support rank: Teams are ranked from first to 32nd according to their overall levels of support. First place goes to the team that received the strongest support over the decade.
